I'm Claudia Serna, founder and CEO of Bouret.
I was born on April 11, 1990, in Villavicencio, Meta, Colombia. I am a Social Work professional, a graduate of Unimeta. I practiced my profession for one year, working on human rights and early childhood issues, and everything I learned there—truly listening, understanding what a person needs before they even say it—ended up being the foundation of everything Bouret is today.
I was always passionate about fashion. Since I was a child, I felt I had my own style, something I wanted to express. When I moved to the United States, as happens to so many women, I had to start from scratch. And there, in the midst of that new life, I found something I didn't expect: a huge need that no one was addressing.
I saw so many Latina women frustrated because American fashion didn't have our fit. It didn't highlight our silhouette, it didn't understand our curves, it didn't make us feel the way we felt in Colombia: confident, sensual, ourselves. And I decided to take a risk. I started bringing and selling Colombian clothing in the United States, because that's what we've been since day one: **Colombian clothing for Latina women**, no matter what country they live in.
Bouret was born a little over four years ago, informally, almost like a dream that I built order by order. A year ago, we were able to open our first physical location, a space that today is much more than a store: it's a place where our customers come to feel like themselves.
And today, Bouret took a step we had been waiting for: we started designing and manufacturing our own line, 100% Bouret. Our flagship product is the **Bouret bodysuits**—basics made of spectacular fabric and beautiful colors that accompany any woman's daily life—along with an entire collection of short and long dresses, jeans, pants, corsets, and much more, designed for every occasion when a woman wants to feel unstoppable.
Because ultimately, that's what Bouret is all about: ensuring that the distance from Colombia is never an impediment to feeling like yourself. To love yourself, pamper yourself, and know yourself to be as beautiful and sensual as you felt at home.
